Queens Center is proud to be a community partner. We strive to meet community challenges through a combination of employee volunteerism, financial support, in-kind donations and partnerships with non-profit organizations which have missions consistent with our vision and values.
Blood Drives
Donating blood is literally giving the gift of life! In
partnership with the New York Blood Center, Queens Center hosts blood
drives periodically throughout the year. The blood drives help ensure
that our community has an adequate amount of blood for those in need.
Please contact Guest Services at 718-592-4039 for drive dates and
location. Please click here for more information on blood donations.
P.S. 206 Reading Program
Queens Center's Senior Marketing Manager, Dawn Simon,
established a reading program for the students of local school, P.S.
206. It developed out of her seven year involvement with PENCIL, a
city organization that connects business leaders with public schools.
In the reading program, mall management employees volunteer to read to
the students with the ultimate goal of raising the students' reading
scores and at the same time encourage them to love reading.
Heart Gallery NYC
In partnership with Heart Gallery NYC, Queens Center hosted
its second Heart Gallery Exhibit. Heart Gallery NYC is a unique
not-for-profit organization that combines the artistic talents of
notable photographers with the humanity of children in need of
permanent homes. The exhibit at Queens Center was dedicated to raising
awareness about children living in foster care seeking forever
families. As a result of the month long exhibit at Queens Center, 400
inquiries were made about the children whose photos were on display.
Hopefully these inquiries will lead to prospective parents who will
open their hearts and homes through adoption.

New York City Parks Department
Queens Center employees are dedicated to helping out in our community
and enjoy volunteering their time and effort by assisting the New York
City Parks Department in beautifying and cleaning our local Hoffman
Park, located directly across from Queens Center.
Contribution Requests
Each year, Queens Center will contribute a preset amount of funds in the form of Gift Cards, merchandise and use of property to a diverse group of organizations. Hundreds of requests are anticipated each year. Donation recipients may include civil organizations' education programs; food banks; foundations; hospitals and healthcare organizations; youth programs; performing arts and museums and many more. Each request is reviewed carefully, however, not all requests can be granted.
